Sold-out shows and euphoric audiences: that’s «Hammer». The successful choreography by Swede Alexander Ekman has caused a worldwide sensation since its premiere in 2022. Now GöteborgsOperans Danskompani’s biggest hit to date is finally coming to Switzerland! The two-part evening skilfully moves between benevolent community offline and self-staged egomania online – and back again. What is real and what is a façade?

Thirty dancers take the audience on a wild ride through different states of mind and inspire them to choose life over likes.

The multi-award-winning choreographer Alexander Ekman creates visually stunning pieces that like to focus on the self-image of today's society – often with a humorous twist. «Hammer» is his third work for the GöteborgsOperans Danskompani.

Simply put: There are thirty dancers on stage. The dance evening has two parts. The question is: what is real and what is not? How do we humans behave offline and online? The play is a great success. It was always sold out everywhere. Now, «Hammer» can be seen in Switzerland for the first time.
