The 2026 programme was reviewed in advance by a Sounding Board. At Steps, we are committed to understanding the needs of our partner theatres and addressing our own blind spots. Transparency and participation are important to us. Therefore, towards the end of the programming process, we presented our initial selection to the internal team, as well as to a diverse group of people of different backgrounds, ages, professions, and interests. The goal was to capture both the perspective of organisers on the one hand, and the viewpoint of audiences on the other.
Theater HORA and Disframe, two key representatives of professional inclusive cultural creation, were also involved. The feedback from this broad group significantly influenced the final selection and helped shape the 2026 programme.
