Made in Switzerland: St.Gallen Dance Company and Bern Ballett join forces and go on tour together. The programme includes two new dance pieces specially created for the two ensembles by up-and-coming choreographers who have found a new home in Switzerland.

In «Vanishing Point», Rachelle Anaïs Scott creates a choreographic echo to the question: ‘If you could do it all over again, would you...?’ The choreography plays with scraps of memory that seem to be woven into the dancers’ bodies. These become projection screens for repetitive moments: great emotions meet intimate experiences – fragile and intense at the same time.

Marioenrico D'Angelo’s play «Night Shining Clouds» focuses on the human need to belong: can we feel part of something bigger than ourselves or are we just looking for ways to fit in?

The choreography explores this elusive feeling in a poetic way, inviting the audience to experience each moment as it unfolds.

«Twi/light» is a unique opportunity to experience two Swiss dance companies in one evening. Behind this is the NEXT STEPS initiative: Migros Culture Percentage Dance Festival Steps, Bern Ballet and St.Gallen Dance Company support contemporary choreographic work in Switzerland with this funding initiative.

Simply put: St.Gallen Dance Company and Bern Ballett are on tour together. They are showing two new pieces. The choreographers live in Switzerland. The choreography by Marioenrico D'Angelo looks at the topic of transformation. The starting point for Rachelle Anaïs Scott is the question: ‘If you could do it all over again, would you...?’ It’s all about memories.
