Closing words

The thirteenth edition of the Migros Culture Percentage Dance Festival Steps is a further highlight in the commitment of our organisation for dance. Although we always carefully evaluate our festival, we do not create a new Steps each time. Each festival edition should be better than the last and provide new impulses. The Migros Culture Percentage Dance Festival Steps now brings dance from all over the world to 25 stages in the German-speaking parts of Switzerland, to 16 stages in the Suisse Romande regions, and to 3 in Ticino. For the first time, the opening of the festival is in Geneva. And even when we have given the festival a new visual appearance, we still rely on continuity: what remains the same in each edition is the care taken in the programme selection, the quality of the performances and the increasing range on offer.

– It is possible at almost every performance to attend an introduction or a discussion with those involved at the end of the performance.

– There are workshops and school performances organised for children and teenagers.

– Swiss dancers can benefit from the experience of the guest performers in joint training sessions.

– The symposium held as part of the festival has the language of dance as its theme.

– For the first time, a group of dancers makes a small tour of old people's homes.
